http://www.plainfieldnjk12.org/index.shtm
I worked with the Plainfield Public School for the last three years as a Teacher’s Assistant and I have been doing a job search through many schools districts on the state and PPS district web site is an accurate and current website; very easy to navigate through it and you can return in seconds to the home page where is daily dated and new information is included, also pictures and district coverage is also a plus; quick links to the currents events or most used sites. News and Notes brings actual information on district’s events.
The main page includes 11 links to direct different intended audience including PPS district narrative, curriculum, maps, organization chart and press-room; board of education agendas, minutes, members, policies, meeting calendar, and committee assignments; 15 schools sites where you can navigate and find information for school hours, lunch menus, roster, PTA’s news, photo gallery and contact information; departments such H.R with many tools for staff and employees, employment opportunities; next the staff link will provide administrators and employee handbooks, lesson plan templates and a very useful teacher toolkit; finally the most complete link for parents and community to find all resources on assessments guidelines, attendance procedure, genesis online reports cards, registration procedures and school listing.

  1. Juana, good to know you were a PPS District employee, just for fun how many superintendents did you have on your Plainfield school passage. No, I don’t think so; teachers don’t use personal websites or blogs. Thanks for your feedback.

  2. Juana.
I like Bayonne school website, a lot of straight lines with a full display of colors and contrast all around probably an engineer’s webmaster design. I agree with you on parents, teachers and community information, and also I want to say that curriculum corner has a very good beginning, probably other departments will follow your seed; ESL/Bilingual web link is great, looks very comprehensible.
